Centred around the concept of bespoke of perfume design, studio-xn and The Perfume Studio have developed various corporate event options ranging from teambuilding to pure enjoyment!   Each event can be tailored to your own needs whether it be a relaxed ‘chill out’ session, a guided tour into the world of perfume or a highly competitive teambuilding challenge.

Have fun with your colleagues designing your own unique perfume using high quality perfume oils from The Perfume Studio blend system. Suitable for any number of delegates; indoors or outdoors (weather dependent); anywhere from 1hr up to a full day; for both male and female.
 

Perfume Presentation

Pre-dinner or after dinner sessions, or any event where a relaxing sit-down session is needed to break up an intense day. Ideal as a short conference interlude. Especially suited for a female audience, but also suitable for mixed groups. 

The presentation will provide everyone with an insight into the fascinating world of perfume.  We have presentation material on perfume history (1700-present day), the fine fragrance market, perfume ingredients, perfume packaging, and perfume design.  The presentations are combined with a hands-on session where participants sample perfume blends and learn about the practice of fragrance combination. Each guest will take home two samples of fine quality perfume, made using The Perfume Studio system.
 

Create Your Own Perfume Day

Welcome to the wonderful world of design your own perfume!

Have you ever dreamt of designing and naming your own scent? What was once the preserve of only the rich and famous, bespoke perfumes are now affordable to practically anyone. Using The Perfume Studio blend system, your guests will create their very own fine fragrances. It is a fascinating and entertaining experience and each guest will walk away with a top quality perfume that they have individually created and named.

Our trained consultants will guide participants in small groups through the design process and make up participants’ perfumes to take away at the day’s close. Our perfume experts will be on hand provide more information, tell a few stories and answer any questions. They will also provide an introduction to perfume design at the start of the session.

These are usually far from quiet affairs! The passion builds and the conversation flows freely as the scents unlock all kinds of memories and stories; truly great fun!
 

Game 1 – The Analyst - Guess The Blends

Experience what it’s like to be the perfume lab analyst, working out how a fragrance is built and how to synthethise it. It could be a lost formula, one of nature’s treasures or a competitor’s ground breaking new release.

Working in small teams (4-5), each team is given 3 sample perfumes which have been prepared from a combination of 18 ingredient oils. The first sample is made using three of the oils, the second with four and the third with five (really quite tough, >1m possibilities!). Teams need to work collaboratively and analytically to determine how each sample was made. The team that gets closest to formulas wins.

Consultants are on hand to offer gentle advice and (equitably) share some clues. Teams will be provided with a perfume blending kit with dabbers and game cards.
 

Game 2 - The Perfumer – Meet The Brief

Test your creative flair, can you design a perfume to a brief, that will set the world alight? Will yours be the fragrance that wins the account!

In Apprentice style format each team is asked to be the “Perfumer”, the “Nose” and meet the fragrance design briefs.  Three very different briefs, some more strict than others, how far do you push the boundaries yet stay within the lines?

Each team will design then blend their perfume. They then must sell them to the panel of judges who will decide which team has best matched the briefs and won the deal. Everyone else WILL get Fired!

Consultants are on hand to help with the blending and provide some basic blending advice. Teams will be provided with a blending kit, briefs and game cards.
 

Game 3 – The Perfume House – Get your Creation to Market

Great Perfume Houses have great scents, but that certainly isn’t the only success criteria! You need to pick and understand your market, price, promote and present the product and plan your budget and campaign. Top perfumes are launched on budgets of tens of millions of dollars! Hopefully you can learn from others’ failures and spot a gap in the market.

This is a Dragon’s Den style format.  Each team (4-5) designs their own perfume and then makes a pitch for the money they want – they have to describe the fragrance, the audience, the price, the market, and describe how they would sell and market it.

Each team will then pitch to a panel of “dragons” – you better have done your homework!

Teams will be provided with perfume oils to create their fragrance, research material, a lump of playdoh to create a bottle design mock-up, and various art materials and magazines to mock-up an advertising campaign. One Consultant per team is on hand to offer whatever help is requested.
 

Bespoke The Event

Any one of these events/games can be changed to make it exactly the way you want it. Tell us what you’re looking for, or would like to achieve, and we will put a proposal together for you.

Some upgrades you might want to consider are:-

• For Create Your Own, you could upgrade the standard (but beautiful) atomisers to a quality crystal art glass bottle, or to one of our absolutely stunning award winning designer art glass bottles, or, for real uniqueness, to a one of a kind bespoke bottle which we will commission our glass maker to produce.
• If you’re looking to provide your guests with a gift to accompany the event we can supply our exclusive perfume pens, real quality pens with a small secret perfume atomiser hidden in the top, true gadgetry.  These can be engraved (with advance notice) and can be accompanied with a ‘company’ fragrance.
• We have gift candles or bath oils scented with the same fine fragrance grade oils we used for our perfumes. These are pre-blended. Or we have bath and body oils that can be fragranced with a perfume of your design.
• We can also source Luxury coffee table books on perfumes or perfumery. These beautiful books are a wonderful reference and not readily available to the general public.
• Any of the above could also be offered as prizes for winning game teams.
